Random Musings and Great Golf Courses

Just a few things for you...

Riebe's bachelor party was held up at Green Lake this past weekend. Unfortunately the weather only cooperated half the time. We were supposed to be on the water all day Saturday, but it was about 62 degrees and rained all day. Not much for Team Dude to do shut up in the house for 12 hours except booze and play cards, so that's what we did.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Whistling Straits on Friday was pretty frickin fantastic. The course itself is pretty unbelievable, plus the fact that you have caddies, sheep roaming the grounds and you can hit your balls into Lake Michigan, makes it one of the best golf experiences I have ever had. My group played the blue tees, which is the 2nd farthest, about 6900 yards, and where the Senior US Open was played from earlier this summer. I shot a 95 but had four 7's and an 8. If I wouldn't have blown up on those 5 holes, I would have been ecstatic with my round. Overall, I was overly pleased with how I hit the ball - actually, I was the only one of 8 that didn't loose any balls. I took a few pictures and will have Ali upload them at some point. My two playing partners took a ton, so I will see what I can do to get those.

Livonia for me tomorrow and Thursday - very exciting times. We will be down in Indy this weekend celebrating one of Sean and Jen Connolly's last free weekends before baby Connolly comes next month - looking forward to that.

That's all I have - stay classy.
