Kasey Bridget Glynn

Congratulations to the Glynn family on the birth of their daughter, Kasey Bridget Glynn. Heather, Bob, and Big Brother, Keegan welcomed Kasey yesterday around 1:13 p.m. She is a peanut, weighing at 5 lbs. 4 ounces and 18 inches in length, but so adorable.

Carolyn and I had the chance to visit the Glynn family of 4 this evening after work. Everyone is doing great and enjoying time with Kasey. Heather looks amazing, Bob is a proud papa, and Keegan such a good big brother. Kasey is a sweet baby and I am so glad we had the chance to see her tonight. We are so happy for the Glynn, Watts, and Thompson families and can't wait to spend more time with everyone! Congratulations again!

Felix Doolittle

We received the cutest housewarming gift from our friends, the Rice's, that I had to blog about. Katie, Dana, and Jack gave us the most adorable return address labels and play date cards from Felix Doolittle, an online store that specializes in personalized stationary featuring tiny watercolor images painted by Felix Fu. Monogrammed or personalized items are some of my most favorite things so, I immediately fell in love the the Felix Doolittle website. His stationary is fun, classic, and whimsical, which I just love for both adults and children. Right before we left for our trip, we had Ethan's one year pictures taken. This session was much more challenging than his 6 month photo shoot, as he just did not want to sit still. Imagine that! Corn

During summertime visits, Matt's mom and dad always bring us corn from the corn wagon in Lafayette. This is some of the best sweet corn you will ever had and last night Ethan decided it was time for him to have a taste. While my mom was husking the corn for dinner, Ethan grabbed an ear and started gnawing on it...raw! He loved it so much that we had a tough time getting the ear away from him. Guess we know what his new favorite vegetable is!

Leaving On A Jet Plane

The blog will be taking a hiatus for about 10 days as Matt and I are headed to Cinque Terra and Monaco. Matt is returning for work again this year and I decided to tag along again. We will be meeting my sister and Ben in Cinque Terra and can't wait! Ethan is with both sets of grandparents and we know will be spoiled to death. Have a great couple of weeks everyone.

On Friday, Sarah brought lunch to the house so we could catch up and the kiddos could hang out. We tried to capture a few pictures of Ethan, Jackson and Ellie together. We couldn't resist one with the pacis......

Look How Far We've Come

As I was getting Ethan's things ready for his vacation with both sets of grandparents, I found a preemie diaper that Ethan wore when he was in the hospital. At the time, we didn't know any better, but looking at this diaper relative to his diaper now, I would say we have come a long way. The timing of finding the diaper could not be more appropriate as we celebrated Ethan's homecoming on Friday.

Due to our move, Ethan's birthday was put on the back burner and was never really blogged about so without further adieu, a little bit about our "big guy"....

• After 12 months, Ethan is finally on the growth charts. Weighing in at 20 lbs and almost 30 inches in length, he is in the 30th percentile for both height and weight. Not too shabby when you weigh 3 lbs. 13 oz. at birth.
• He is not walking yet, but definitely moves all over the place whether it be with his push toy or crawling. He cruises all over the place and has even began standing on his own, but no steps. Personally, I think he could walk if he tried, but for now, he is content to drop down and crawl everywhere.
• Ethan is pretty much a garbage disposal. Just about anything you put in front of him, he will eat. Veggies, fruits, meats, cheeses, anything. He loves mini nilla wafers the most though...can you blame him?
• He is enamored with wheels, big wheels, little wheels, whatever. He can sit and spin wheels for at least 10 minutes (which is an eternity in 1-year old time.)
• He converses with us with two different variations of "ba." When looking at a bottle, he pronounces "ba" different than when looking at a ball. He can also say "mama", "dada", "phfa" (fan) and "ta" (truck).
• He knows what he wants and often times gets it...right or wrong, we just can't resist his sweet face!

A lot has changed since this time last year and we are so thankful that Ethan has blessed our lives. He continues to be such a sweet little boy and we love him more each day. We can't wait to see what the next year holds, I know it will be great!
