Oscar Buzz
- My favorite gown of the evening was the one worn by Freida Pinto. This gown received mixed review, but I thought it was gorgeous. The color and style just stood out on the rather bland red carpet. Can you do any wrong when you are that gorgeous though?
- A close second to Freida Pinto's gown was the one Taraji Henson wore. Her necklace was to die for.
- Loved that Tina Fey and Anne Hathaway didn't wear black, they both looked stunning in their gold beaded gowns.
- I didn't think Jessica Biel's dress was as bad as the reviews said. Also, did not think her hair was that terrible.
- How awkward was it for Jennifer Aniston having to present with Brad and Angelina sitting in the front row about 2 feet from her. She looked beautiful though.
- The Oscars seemed less "awards-y" this year. I thought there was a lot more entertainment and props than in in previous years. Not nearly as boring as in years past.
- Hugh Jackman was hilarious and a great host.
- The number Hugh Jackman did with Beyonce, Amanda Seyfried, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens was one of my favorite segments.
- Hooray for Slum Dog Millionaire. While I have not seen the movie, I have heard nothing but great things about it, can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
- So over Brad and Angelina, but think Dev Patel and Freida Pinto would be the cutest couple!
- Kate Winslet is gorgeous, although her hair just wasn't doing anything for me. She just seems so sweet and genuine. Love how she called out her parents.

My First Tooth
Tory Burch
Last night, I attended a very fun shopping event at Tory Burch hosted by the Junior League of Chicago. I have always loved her Reva flats, but never really looked at any other pieces of her line and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to window shop, while sipping champagne and hanging out with my girlfriends. There were a couple items I absolutely fell in love with including the Rose wedge, the Degrade Logo Clutch and this gorgeous blouse that I can't seem to find a picture of. Unfortunately, I kept hearing my husband's voice chatting in my ear telling me that I do not need to spend that much money on shoes, purses or blouses. We are in a recession, remember? Frankly, he is right, but it took a lot of will power not to pull the trigger. One more glass of champagne and I might have made the purchase. I did, however, opt to buy a very cute comfortable pair of flip flops. They are a great cure for the winter blues and a good reminder of our trip to San Diego in April and summer being right around the corner.

Good Luck, Matt!
Best of luck to my wonderful hubby today as he sits for the last section of the CPA exam! Tax...probably the hardest section, but he has been studying his booty off the last couple of months and I know he will do great! If all goes well with this section, he will be a CPA!!!! Ethan and I are so proud of him and this great accomplishment! Good luck, honey!

Still Alive
Hello to all our loyal blog followers! Because of the lack of posts over the last week or so, I thought everyone deserved an apologize. The last week has been a little rough as all 3 of us are battling bad colds. Poor Ethan has it the worst and just can't kick it. He is sleeping through the night thankfully, which allows Matt and I to get plenty of rest, but during the day he is just not himself. He is not eating consistently, which has caused him to lose a little weight, something the "big" guy does not need to do! He also has a terrible cough and a runny nose, which has seem to subside a little bit over the past day. Hopefully we are on the up and we can all get back to being our fun loving selves! I have a list of things I want to post about so be on the lookout over the next couple of days for new and exciting things going on with us, but for now, we are just spending lots of time resting and trying to get well! Hope everyone is having a great week and looking forward to a nice Valentine's Day on Saturday!
