Fun Weekend In Crystal Lake

We apologize for the lack of posts over the last couple of days. I have been pretty busy at work and the evenings seem to fly by once we are home.

I have added a new album from our weekend in Crystal Lake. We headed to Crystal Lake on Friday after work with a quick detour to see Jaime and Mike Berndt. The Berndt’s just bought an amazing home in Cary, only a few short miles from my parent’s house. Even though they just moved in about a month and a half ago, they are completely settled and the house is decorated wonderfully. Jaime has truly gorgeous taste. It was great to catch up with Jaime and Mike, as we do not get to see them as often as we would like. We miss having them in the city, but are thrilled they found a lovely home in Cary. Thank you so much for letting us stop by for a few minutes, it was great to see you both.

Saturday we celebrated my sister’s birthday with Bev and Craig Livermore (Ben’s parents), my Aunt Sue, Uncle, Dave, Adam, Megan and Grandma Marie. Everyone came over to my mom and dad’s house for the delicious meal my mom made. Matt was hoping to get a good game of washers going, but the weather did not cooperate. It rained and was very muggy the entire evening. Nonetheless, it was a very fun evening and great to see the Livermore’s and the McArdle’s.

Sunday, Aunt Sue, Aunt Joyce, and Nancy Lashbrook hosted a bridal shower for my sister at the Crystal Lake Country Club. The shower was gorgeous and so much fun. It was great to catch up with friends and neighbors that I have not seen for a long time. Thank you for hosting such a lovely lunch; it is very much appreciated by all.
