Summertime

My mom and dad have this picture in the guest bedroom at their house and to say Ethan is obsessed with it would be an understatement. It includes 2 of his many favorite things...tractors and his Papa Bob! Yes, you guessed it, that is my dad sitting on top of the tractor and my Uncle Bill is standing. Seriously, how cute is this?!? It could be one of my favorite pictures...ever! The picture reminds me of how innocent childhood is, how awesome summertime is, how I sometimes wish I grew up in a small town, and more importantly, how cute little boys are (without being creepy or anything)! It also makes me wish that I grew up in the 50's and 60's when life seemed a little simpler and less hectic, innocent and carefree!

So, here's to a summer filled with sunshine, warm breezes, and lots of fun! Don't forget to take a moment to drink from the hose, play tag with your kids, take a bike ride around the block, and just cherish life's little moments! Before we know it, another summer will have passed us by...ENJOY!

Look A Likes

A lot of people tell us how much Ethan and Henry look a like and quite frankly, I just don't see the resemblance. Since Henry wore the same outfit Ethan wore on his first Easter, I quickly revisited Ethan's picture to see if I saw any similarity in the 2 boys. Here are two relatively comparable pictures...
What do you think? I am still standing firm on them not looking a like, at least not at that age. Henry is so much lighter than Ethan was. And to me, looks a lot more like Matt's mom and sister than Ethan did. I actually think Ethan might look like me a little bit in these pictures. Probably the one and only time in my life that my children will look like me.

The only similarity that I can see is their size! Which benefits us in the clothing department and makes the hubs very happy! I can't wait to see how Henry changes and he continues to grow and develop. I think Ethan has changed a ton looks wise since he was a baby! He coloring has definitely changed, which is something I hope remains the same on Henry. Regardless, they are my sweet boys!
