I dialed up a Grande Quesadilla on Tuesday. Still not sure if it falls into the upper pantheon of T-Bell offerings. For now, it has a long way to go until it hits Chilito status with me.
The background is that Gibson, Miceli and I were talking about the Grande Quesadilla last weekend while driving back and forth to the bachelor party. Gibson said they were great, Miceli and I decided that we needed to have one.
I had two cancelled T-Bell runs on Monday and Tuesday of this week, the latter because I was needed in Detroit that night, so I took off around lunch time. I decided to make a run for the border in Chesterton, IN on the way there because of the exorbitant amount of jones'n I had been experiencing.
I dialed up a Chicken Grande Quesasilla, soft taco and drink.
The quesadilla left me unimpressed. But, I think I have to try another one for the following reasons:
1. The filling was poor - must have been a bad day for Raul working the line - there just wasn't that much chicken or cheese, i.e., too much bread. I think I will give another store a try.
2. The chicken didn't really have any taste - so I will go with steak next time.
3. I was in the car and think that if I go in to order, sit and enjoy a full T-Bell experience, it will taste that much better.
4. As I was in the car, I took the no fire sauce option. I didn't want to deal with it in the car, so I think I will load up on sauce next time.
So - the jury is still out - will pick up another grande this weekend or early next week, and I will make sure I follow the above protocol.
