Well, I think the rain has stopped, at least for now. Man, has it been doom and gloom around the city, raining on and off for the past 5 or 6 days. Sorry to start off the post with such a bad vibe, but I am just sick of the rain and humidity. Despite all the rain, life in the Hunt household continues to busy, busy, busy. I can't believe it is already the 21th of August; where has the summer gone?
I spent most of late last week and the weekend in Crystal Lake with my mom and dad. Since Matt was in Green Lake with "Team Dude" I thought I would head home for a little R & R with my mom and dad. After all, who doesn't like a little pampering and some home cooked meals. Wait, did I have any home cooked meals?
Saturday was Laura's baby shower, which gave some of us ladies a chance to visit and spoil Baby G and Laura with lots of fun gifts. I will say, this little girl is going to be one of the best dressed babies I have ever seen, as she received some adorable outfits. Thanks to my mom for helping me make all the food and to Kate, Sarah, and Jorie for being great co-hostesses, the shower was beautiful. I will post pictures as soon as I get my camera. I accidentally left it in Crystal Lake and probably will not have a chance to get it until Labor Day.
On a side note, the good news about it being the end of August is that my sister and Ben's wedding is only 53 days away. We are coming into the home stretch, which is so exciting. The bridesmaids and I are in the process of planning one of the best nights of my sister's life...her bachelorette party. I can't give away any details right now, but I hope she has as much fun at her bachelorette party as I did at mine.
I guess that is all for now...stay tuned for the much anticipated Fantasy Football post. Well, much anticipated by Ben!
