Even though he came out early, he came out crying which is the best sign for a premie. The doctors are astonished that he did not need any oxygen after birth. At this point he is in the NICU (neo-natal intensive care) and will stay there for a while. How long is a while? Not sure as of yet, but the first nurse taking care of him gave a wild guess of two weeks.
Here are some pictures about two minutes after birth and just before he took his first car/incubator ride.

Oh yeah - the mom is doing great too! We are super tired since the little guy kept us up for an entire night AGAIN. He's grounded.
