On Friday, Ethan and I drove to Aurora to have a play date with Marcy and Lyla. Marcy and I have never officially met, but have chatted plenty over e-mail. Marcy is the creative mind behind ElephanToes and all those cute burp cloths you might have received from us. From several orders I have placed, she and I quickly became e-mail friends and jumped at the opportunity to get together. Sure, it might have taken us a few months, but we finally coordinated a date last Friday.
The plan was to take Ethan, Lyla, and the little boy Marcy watches, Tyler, to Phillips Zoo, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. We instead spent the afternoon chatting and took a quick trip to the park in between rain showers. It was great to finally meet Marcy and sweet Lyla. I am pretty sure Marcy and I could have talked all day and night. Ethan had the best time, too; running around with Moxon (Marcy and Aaron's Wheaton Terrier) and sharing his toys with Lyla. We are looking forward to another play date with Marcy and Lyla, this time let's hope the weather allows us to enjoy the outdoors! Thanks Marcy for having us over, we had a great afternoon!
