Fun Fun Fun

We had a great, but very busy weekend. Friday morning, Ethan and I headed down to Lafayette to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Hunt before making our way to Zionsville to the Barrons. As usual, Carol made a great lunch and we just had a nice time catching up and hearing all about Grandma and Grandpa's adventures. Ethan loved his tractor rides and just spending a gorgeous afternoon outside. A huge thank you to Larry for giving our car a much needed wash and vacuum. I am so glad that we had to chance to stop in for a short, but enjoyable visit.

We hopped back in the car and made our way down to Zionsville for a visit with the Barron's and the Oskay's. Shannon was hosting a Uppercase Living Party and we thought that was a perfect excuse to get the kids together and the girls to have some much needed adult time. Oh, and eat Hot Box pizza and breadsticks! Mike was gracious enough to watch Libby, Emme, Delanie, and Ethan while Jorie, Shannon, and I enjoyed some cocktails and cupcakes. Saturday morning we then headed to the Fall Festival in downtown Zionsville. Again it was a gorgeous day, perfect for watching the parade and playing at the park. Unfortunately, Ethan and I had to head back early, but we sure enjoyed seeing everyone. I know Ethan especially loved all the attention from his 3 girlfriends!

Saturday night, was the annual Kenilworth block party. Seeing as we just moved in, this was our first year attending and we had such a blast. It was nice to finally meet our all new neighbors; everyone made us feel so welcome! I think we are going to really enjoy living where we do because there were a ton of kids. I firmly believe that 3 is the new 2 when it comes to the number of children families have. The adults were definitely out-numbered! After putting Ethan to bed and the bean bag tournament, we enjoyed some beers around a bon fire. The perfect way to end a great day. I am feeling much better about our move to Glen Ellyn after the block party; I know now the move was worth it!

After a few too many on Saturday night, our Sunday started out pretty lazy! We then got ourselves in gear and made our way over to the Glynn's for a visit! It has been a couple weeks since I have seen Kasey and boy has she grown. She is still a peanut, but getting so much bigger! Unfortunately Keegan was napping so we didn't get a chance to see him, but Ethan loved playing with all his toys and Matt and I enjoyed chatting with Heather and Bob! They are doing great and adjusting to life as a family of 4 perfectly.

I guess all good things must come to an end, but we really did have a great weekend. I am loving this weather and will be sad to see it go, but for now, we are trying to make the most of it and spend lots of time outside. I think we have had close to 14 straight days of sunshine...that puts me in a fabulous mood!
