Sunday, Matt and I (and some friends and family) watched my cousin, Megan, compete in and finish her first marathon. Yesterday was the hottest day in the history of the marathon and took its toll on many of the runners. About 3.5 hours into the race, they actually called the marathon because it was just too hot. Runners were diverted back into the city or were told to walk the rest of the race course, depending on your location. While many of the participants were not able to finish the race, Meg decided to tough it out and finish! We are so proud of her and all the runners who competed yesterday. I know it took a lot of will! Congratulations to ALL!!In the picture above, Meg has just completed mile 4 and was looking great!
