Ma, I Can Do It Myself

Well, it has been almost a week since Ethan has been home and while the first couple of nights were rough, we are loving every minute with our sweet little guy. I think we are still adjusting to life with a baby, but so far so good.

My mom has been here the past couple of days and has been a huge help around the house. We are getting spoiled with homemade dinners and lots of TLC. She has been more than amazing and really has helped me ease into this motherhood thing. My mom has really taught me a lot over the past couple of days and I am truly blessed to have such an amazing woman in my life.

With Ethan home, I finally am feeling like I can catch up with things around the house (please be patient, I promise I have not forgotten about your thank you note, e-mail or phone call), run errands, and be outside and enjoy this wonderful weather.

Ethan is doing really well and amazes us each day. As one of the nurses said, he thinks he is bigger than he really is and this continues to hold true. Here is picture I captured of him this morning holding his own pacifier. God forbid it fall out of his mouth!! He loves to look around and does not want to miss anything (a trait I think he inherited from me). He is doing really well eating and goes anywhere from 3-4 hours between feedings. He is asleep most of the day, but does have periods where he is wide awake and fully alert, these are my favorite times. I have lots of pictures from the past couple of days and will post them after I go through and rotate and delete. Until then, a new favorite of mine....

OK Sounds like Ethan is going to be a "true" little baby and since they don't come with instruction books from now on it will just be a matter of adjusting daily! Believe me you will continue adjusting for about the next 30 years or so...at least that has been my experience. He is really a doll and I can't wait to meet him. By the way did you tell him that there is a new little BOY cousin coming into his life?
Love the pictures and the blog update. Love you all, Aunt Becky
