Yummy

Again, another late post, but as they always say, "better late, than never."
During the whole sleep (or lack there of) debacle, it occurred to me that maybe Henry wasn't getting enough food. Poor thing was hungry, which was causing him to wake up during the middle of the night. I thought we would wait 6 months before starting "solids", but I was desperate and selfish! This mama was turning into some sort of sleep deprived alien and I would give anything for some sleep and a happy baby! So, we started solids, on January 26th, to be exact. Rice cereal, first, of course!
Let me tell you, Henry was in heaven...he loved every minute of it! I probably made the first batch a little thicker than I should have, but he did great! Opening his mouth wide and keeping most of the cereal in his mouth as I fed him. Hooray, we were onto something! We stuck with rice cereal for about a week and gradually added veggies. Green beans first, then peas, carrots, squash, and sweet potatoes. We moved onto oatmeal and then some fruit. As I mentioned in his 5 month post, he wasn't such a fan of bananas, but quickly got over that. He now loves everything...bananas, peaches, pears, and apples.
Henry is still getting his fair share of milk, but is such a happy camper when we are sitting in front of him with his bowl of yummy goodness. We can't start feeding it to him fast enough! Just another milestone in this little guy's life! I can't believe how fast time is going...he will be celebrating his 6 month birthday on Friday. Where does time go?
