Artist

Do we have a future Picasso on our hands? Take a look for yourself....
Our nanny, Jennifer, often times does art projects with Ethan during the week. She captured a few of his recent master pieces in the above 4 pictures! The first picture (the one where he looks just like his papa) is a bit older, right after she started in July. I love coming home during the week to new paintings, they really make my day and brighten up our kitchen. I know Ethan loves getting dirty and creating some fabulous works of art!

In other news, we really have not been up to that much lately, which has lead to a lack of blog updates. Ethan and I have been battling a pretty nasty cold the past week or so and we are hoping Matt avoids any sickness! I seem to be on the upswing, but poor Ethan just can't kick his stuffy nose. It has not lead to any sleepless nights, thank goodness, just several battles to clean out all the boogies! We are heading to the lake this weekend for a mini vacay and can't wait to do a little resting and relaxing!

Another quick update on Ethan's hydrocele. We saw at Dr. Cheng, a urologist at Children's Memorial, on Tuesday and he confirmed that Ethan does in fact have to have surgery to repair the small hole that is allowing fluid to enter his testicle. He reiterated that this is nothing serious and that his surgery can be scheduled in the next 2 months (how far out he is booked). The outcome is exactly what we anticipated and we don't expect any complications with the surgery. He said the procedure is about 45 minutes long and Ethan should be up and running by the next day. The scariest part is that Ethan will have to be put under anesthesia for the procedure, but again, Dr. Cheng does not anticipate any problems. We will keep everyone posted as the surgery gets closer.

Until then....let's hope for some warm weather and no more earthquakes!!!!!
